TrueMargin browser extension · last updated 28 October 2026

Short version: TrueMargin does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. All calculations run locally in your browser.

What the extension does

When you open a product page on a supported Amazon marketplace, TrueMargin reads the price shown on that page and combines it with the fee figures you enter (weight, dimensions, product cost) to display an estimated net profit.

Data we collect

None. The extension has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies of its own, and no server. It does not send page content, product identifiers, your costs, or any other information to us or to any third party.

Data stored on your device

Your last used values (weight, dimensions, product cost, chosen marketplace) are saved locally using the browser's storage API so the panel remembers them next time. This data never leaves your browser and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Permissions and why they are needed

No other permissions are requested. In particular, the extension cannot read your browsing history, other tabs, your Amazon account, or your Seller Central data.

Third parties

No third-party services are used. The fee data file is bundled with the extension; it is fetched from the extension package itself, not from a remote server.

Children

The extension is a business tool intended for Amazon sellers and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
